Craver is still there, as is Echols if Craver's neck is too much a bother.

  3. Scobey....but he might still be around to sign as a free agent. I wouldn't doubt that....although Ben Leber (LB) going so high was a shock to me.

Grab a corner, fullback, wide reciever, o lineman, and a defensive tackle.

Todays top two picks have the possibility of being the best 1-2 we've ever had or the worst should they not pan out. Scary. What the hell was that Witherspoon shit anyway?

To think we could have walked away with Peppers, Edwards, and Gordon pisses me off especially after the Witherspoon pick.

I would have been smiling if we just took Jefferson, who went 1 pick after Williams.

Williams doesn't have bad measurables, he could turn out to be a decent plugger type if he can stay healthy. I think we could have had him a round later. It's what we passed up that pisses me off.

I've got links posted (FB's are listed since there's only a few) to make it easier to see who's still out there for Day two. Take a look and see who you'd like.

    OK, here's a reasonable day 2.

    4. Mike Echols - Sliding because he's a diabetic. Didn't hurt his play in college. Take him.

5a - Reggie Coleman OT Tennessee - Shut down Alex Brown and Dennis Johnson. May not have even started had Munoz not torn his ACL, but came on to have a suprisingly strong Senoir year run

5b Will Barthalmew FB Tennessee - Make it a Vol round. Powerful lead blocker.

    6. David Givens WR Notre DAme - He's productive. Bad measurables, but he's productive.

7a Woodrow Danzler SLASH Clemson - Take a chance on a developmental project. Who knows. It's the 7th, for Christs sake

7b - Joey Evans DE North Carolina - Give Pep a roomate for camp before Evans gets cut.

    >>Mike Echols

Definately. I have him as the highest rated player out there - other than Alex Brown/Craver and at some point ifyou fall past a certain spot you just get pushed off to the side as a wildcard.

    >>Reggie Coleman

I like him. Can play RT, I imagine. Sounds like he really lacks technique but is worth a look. Boudreau can do something with him.

    >>Will Barthalmew

Like him too. The rest I really don't much know about.
Personally, just to stir the pot -

    4. Kelly Campbell WR

Yeah, corner. And we're being bastards. If you take the best available, Campbell's it. Echols is my pick, but Campbell is the second choice after him. But Daryl Jones is still there, too, and the corner depth won't get any more forgiving.

at 5a and 5b I'd go Terry Jones or Robert Royal then best available DE.

Well, I really thought the first pick was not a lock, I was wrrrrroonnnggg. Not that it is a good thing, but ole Jimmie Johnson and I agree on a lot of player evaluations. His quote on Peppers at #2 was, "I don't want a "might be" at #2, I want a slam dunk" He was just as surprised at our #2 pick.

I liked going after a RB at #2, I'll keep my fingers crossed that Foster does not become Fumblebiakapastupid... Not sure he was the best available? Any other suggestions?

I was really thinking DL in the 3rd, maybe they have other plans to fill that gap.

As far as the topic... I say go WR next up... or trade our 4th pick with Nick G, Chris Wienke... In return we get Harrington and an extra 5th round pick...

Got to go with Echols in 4.

I might flip flop picks with Piper if Baxter somehow makes it into round 5. jump on him before some one else realizes he's still there. If not I lean towards Stackhouse who may make it until 6.

Coleman I like also. I may be looking at Milons as my WR pick in the 5th also, so I may have to pass on Coleman. Mags mentioned Artrews Bell which might not be a bad pick either, call it LarryD's going away present to the team. The guy can get open and is somewhat of a deep threat.

i'm trying to find where they have Tony Beckham, the CB from Wisconsin-Stout is slotted. He looks like he may be worth snagging with either the other 5th or 6th if that's where his value falls.

Bannen from Colorado may be an option at DT, but he needs some work, but is a run stuffer. Sort of a newer, slightly more improved version of Morabito.

Stratten the TE from Purdue should be taken in the 7th, good hands, runs good routes, and is a long snapper to boot. We have too many holes to keep Kyle on the roster to long snap only.

The other 7th take the best player remaining regardless of position.

And Sandy, there's no way in hell Detroit gives up Harington for that deal. You made the Witherspoon pick, didn't you?
