Really? Where did I say that?

None at all. Do you? If so, then how? And, no, I don't think that UNC would have 12 titles, I'm just saying that using YOUR logic, they would. About the only one that I'm really bummed about is the '77 one where Ford and Davis were injured.

    Whatever you say there, chief.

Gee, not sure where I got the idea that you devalue stats.

And yeah, I DO have an idea how much work goes into an article like that. I had an ACC vs SEC topic a few years ago and know how long it took me to find out the amount of ACC FF participants vs SEC FF participants. I can only imagine how long it took to accumilate the numbers he has.

I don't devalue the stats involved. I devalued the fact that he threw out a bunch of stats and then used specific, limited examples as how they were true in all cases. That's just bad analysis.

I also especially liked when he tried to show how hard done by the Devils were by comparing their MADE FT to their opponents attempted FT.

First of all, the guy doing the posting didn't right that article, did he? Second, the writer seems to have access to SID's in the ACC and Duke, meaning that it's really not that much work to call them up and ask for the stats. I mean, unless you consider phone calls a lot of work.

After that, it's just a matter of throwing it all into a spreadsheet. Plus, isn't that kind of his, what's that word, oh yeah JOB?

    That's fair enough.

I do this for fun, so it's obviously more work for me to pull up stats than it would be for a writer of an article. In the end, like I said, it doesn't matter. Duke's got three and doesn't get all the calls. But thanks for a well-reasoned response. It's nice to see someone stand by what he wrote and even elaborate on his opinions. Cheers. Threads like these are what this forum is missing.

This stat is impossible to be broken down objectively. Therefore I will not participate in this thread.

funny, considering you were the person that posted about how SheWill draws fouls and gets to the free throw line while Hansbrough does not...

I don't believe I ever said TH couldn't get to the line, merely that I like the slow mythodical pace of SW as far as drawing fouls rather than the TH method of throwing shots up within 1.5 seconds of getting the ball.

Keep trying though, stay on my ass and you may bust me on something, but it won't be this kid. Let it go. Im not trading SW for TH, get over it.
