Agreed with the Deano's ghost lives on. Hey its funny as shit and I tip my hat to K, but in 1984 Dean was poking around the clock at Cameron and even Changed the fucking score(He was trying to get a sub buzzed in) NO TECH or anything, just took time to reset the score and I guess the Almighty one got his sub in. Well K said after the game that Theres a "Double Standard" in this league, FINALLY After V comes in and basically KIssed Deans ass (pretty much until the day he died) somebody was daring to Stand up to Dean.(I always wished it would be V) Well whether it scored him any points with the refs I don't know but by gosh K said what was on his mind.

I guess the reason it stands out to me is because for years and years people always were convinced that Dean got the calls. But of coarse UNC fans always had an answer.(Its because we're Good!!!!, Your just jealous etc etc.)) Well now its percieved that Duke gets all the calls and Tarheel fans(They lead the way in this) are whining like a bunch of little bitches. Hey guys where were you from about 1970, on. Flopping??? Dean started all that.........Hoffman, Colscott, George Karl, John Kuester, Dudley Bradley Etc. Etc.Great D when Dean was doing it.
Now for some reason Shane Battier and K are the godfathers of the flop according to some.

I just think its funny, the roles are reversed and UNC has their Journalism students writing about it and acting like now since its not just UNC that there HAS to be a big conspiracy going on. Its been going on for 30+ years, just a different school has now joined the fray. I just wish it was NC State

In all honesty due to Dooks last two games having multiple questions over the officiating, and all of the attention its brought, I wouldn't be at all surprised for refs to call shitty ticky-tacky fouls against dook in the UNC game. UNC may end up getting the better end of dooks bad situation.

 

Thanks for the article. It's so refreshing when people actually do research instead of spouting bullshit that fits their view.

He makes a lot of good points. My only point has ever been "If Duke got all the calls, they would have seven national championships at least." No team ever gets 'all the calls,' and while you may feel Duke gets all the calls, you're wrong. It's ok, I used to feel UNC got all the calls, I was wrong too.
