    Okay...

It's not traditional Jazz, it's more like AfroBeat - but with a lot of latin and jazz elements and amazing horns and rhythms for days, layers and layers of them...

Who wants to hear what I've got to share?

It's Masekela, anyone heard of him?

    :)

Montrey pops 67 also did a neat album with herb alpert. What you got? If you're into masekela check out hermito pascual and in that vein airto and milton.

As in Hugh(?). Yeah. I've heard of him. He's ok, a very hip and easy to-listen-to trumpet player. His first biggie was Grazing In The Grass way back when....

I've got both his Verve releases, "Grrr" and "The Boys Doin' It"

Pretty good... he tends to get a little too pop for me, but these two are more jazzy... boy can tear up that trumpet.

Yah I have " the boys doin' it " too. I love it. I can't get enough of it.

It's just sooo clean and thick and strong and fun.

truly i cannot get enough. I should check out some of his other stuff, I had to buy this used on amazon, i guess some of his stuff is hard to find?
