Who knows Word?

    I have about 40 pages in a Word file and when I print the lasers, at the bottom I get {page } instead of 1, 2, 3 etc.. What I'm I missing?

    Tried that. I created a new file and new footer, same problem. Tried a different computer and it was fine. Conclusion: Word sucks.

    Word of advise sending Word files to another computer. Make PDF's.

    how about cutting and pasting your 40 pages into another new word document then add your page numbers....

    Why don't you try putting the proper printer driver on the computer that isn't working instead of one that seems to work. You're picking up printer command codes that windows is sending to the printer. You're right if you could buy only microsoft components as you are locked into apple components word would perform in any situation. But that not being the case, you either have to make do or go to the printer manufacturer and find why his printer isn't working with word in windows. There probably already a patch in existence that you haven't upgraded to.
