Okay here are the Pro's and Con's of each

    John Kasay-
    LONG time Panther (PRO)
    NFL Vet (PRO)
    Lately been injury prone (CON)
    Cost about $1.15 mill a year ... I THINK that's right (CON)
Doesn't have the range he use to have (CON)
Older and probably on the downside of his career (CON)

    Shane Graham-
    Inexperienced (CON)
    Has decent accuracy (PRO)
    low salary (PRO)
Young -- could be here a good few years (PRO)

Feel Free to add any pros or cons I may have missed for either. I'm just curious what everyone else thinks we should do here.

Convince Kasay to retire by giving him a statue or something.

  4. i think we keep graham, and i think that we will because fox hasn't been here very long and doesn't know what kasay means to the organization. he'll be gone tho.

i don't think kasay deserves a statue IMO.

My heart says Kasay but his days are over and Graham IMO has shown enough to give more time.

Kasay may have an injury free year or two maybe, but from here on his groin will blow out that is the curse of soccer style kickers. Keep Graham or sign another Kasay is done in the nfl.

Kasey's gone. It's been a good ride, but Cya. Sban's a FA. Can Graham do kick-offs? I like Todd, but I wouldn't cry if he's gone next year. What bothers me about Graham was when a couple of games ago, Fox wanted a FG and Graham said Hell no, too far. I think it was a 47 yarder. Graham can miss at times, and he can't kick from too far out.

I want a kicker who can hit the 50+. I want a kicker who's automatic inside 30. I want a kicker who can kick-off and get some touch backs. I say we keep looking.

  8. IMO Kasey was a big part of are sucess for the playoff run we made. He made alot of big feild goals and you have to admit, we depended on him big time, b/c alot of games we couldn't generate much offense except for Kasay. Does he deserve a Statue, I think he does, b/c he was an original, but he's also a kicker, dont see many statues of kickers out there. I say go with Grahm though

I want to bring back Graham and also bring in someone to push him in pre season. Saurbrun coming back is an automatic if you ask me. Leads the league in all punting categories as well as kicks off and holds for our young kicker and whoemever may take Grahams job. That and I have a Saurbrun jersey :)

I'd definitely keep Graham, but I'd also definitely bring in some competition. Kasay's gone.
