    Revisionist history. Check the tape. Perhaps you remember him rubbing an opponents face into the court as well.

    Laettner had a cheeky grin as he lightly stepped 'feign stomped' on the UK player's stomach. It was nothing like a spike to the back of the knee/hamstring. It's just not the same.

    Guess he forgot about the technical that Laettner earned for his stomp, why would he get T'ed up if he 'wasn't caught?'

    The point is, the stomp was done in a playful manner. Laettner was grinning like a damn cheshire cat when he did it. He got t'ed up because the refs knew he wasn't really 'stomping' on someone with intent to hurt or injure. Bad taste, bad sportsmanship, yep. Arrogance? You know it. But it just wasn't a malicious act, no matter how much time goes by or how many UK or UNC fans want to spin it. I looked for video of this online but games before 95 or so are hard to find online. Watch it again, you might be surprised.

    You probably won't though, everyone's mind has been made up for years. You view it the way you want, I could care less. Back to back baby, and they aren't going anywhere.

    Maybe we can talk about some of Maktar Ndjaie spitting on players and calling them ******.

    Laettner wasn't on double secret probation like Vick and he wasn't given a flagrant foul for good reason, the refs saw it exactly how Tet explained it.

    Why did the broadcasters not mention a technical foul given on an offensive play? I bet they did. Your post is so full of errors it's not even funny. Revisionist history indeed.

    Jesus christ people it's called google, use it every once in awhile and save yourself some embarrassment. Your recollection doesn't mean that's what happened. At least you left your bias in your original post, too bad some fell for your misinformation.

    Geezus Christ, I really don't need google since I watched the game live so formed my own opinion - and I didn't see it through duke blue glasses. By the way, I've read the same articles as you and I'm proud of you for finding them :trophy:

    Why did Laettner get a T if it was such a playful little thing? My opinion is that if it was player other than Laettner doing it, he'd have been tossed not just T'd up.
