    But Morrow sells papers?? Give me a break. 99.9% of Mecklenburg County couldnt tell you who he is.

    What I dont get is why you guys are still arguing with Mike? Who cares what he says. We all know the truth and bitching at him will not help our coverage. Who needs their coverage anyway? Most of their readers are walmart tarheel fans and trailer park acc fans. just stop buying it and reading it!

    Let me try from the point of view of the people in the profile of

    "not enough national college football coverage. People move here from all over and don't get the news on their conference they'd like."

    since I do happen to know many people in this demographic.

    You make reference to these people having the #1 complaint so I feel its reasonable to assume they are frequent and/or important customers of your paper. The interesting thing that I 've found with "these people" is that they DO NOT follow local high school sports (unless, of course, they have a child who participates).

    In their mind, the Morrow story is "simply someone going to Georgia Tech".

    If you're a Tech grad/fan (or part of the Morrow family), this is an important story.

    Anyone else.............who cares !!!!!!!!

    We make a thousand of these kinds of decisions every week. Sometimes I don't agree and sometimes I don't. I was OK with this one, because the stories are basically equal. We can agree to disagree. If you want a reason to be upset today, I guess you've found one.

    no....... the ACC stories trump 49er stories every time. Its nothing to be upset about today, it happens everytime. :)

    THE BOTTOM LINE: UNCC should be treated as equal as the ACC area teams when it comes to competing for ink in the Observer . . . Other CUSA Schools seem to get more indepth coverage from their home fishwrap (and they have to compete with pro teams too like in St. Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee, Cincy, etc.) than the Observer gets with UNCC . . . I'm a right :) ? ?
