okay, so is y a vowel or consonant in the word "yellow"?

    what about "youth"?

what about "euthanize"? is "e" suddenly a consonant?

    or "your" vs "europe".

is "o" a consonant in "one" or is "w" a vowel in "won"?

    hmm....

umm... schwa? i don't think so.

europe is pronounced with a "y" sound which is classified a consonant sound.
