Why was he out of the game?

9:44 PT: Updating previous reports, Jay Glazer, of SportsLine.com, reports Oakland Raiders starting C Barret Robbins gave the team a distraction they didn’t need when preparing for the Super Bowl. He wasn’t present for several team activities on Saturday. As reported, he could be benched because of it. He didn’t return to the team until later Saturday evening and it’s not clear as to why he missed the day. Sources said head coach Bill Callahan informed the team that Robbins would likely be benched in favor of backup Adam Treu.

 

on the post game they said he's in a local hospital in San Diego, didn't disclose what the problem was though.

 

Since he was benched before the game, does he still get the $$ that each player receives for winning the superbowl? I'm assuming he would, since he remained on the roster....just curious.
