To me it's the hitting. They sure can hit. The Panthers are fast and all of that, but what really seems different this year than last is the way they can bring it to you on defense.

the speed is better, and speed/hitting generally come from the same overall attributes save for the balls it takes to hit through. The attack rather than read and react really makes that happen. Of course, the Ravens ran what we did last year and made it the greatest defense ever, so they say. Ravens just had the horses, and Lewis rather than Marshall.

To me, the difference between this year and our good Seifert years is the consentration is on D. Between the good Capers years (save the great one) it's that we're getting it done with young players and not age/gimmicks.

I'm beginning to think this MAY also be a helping cause to our offense's ability not to turn it over... if you faced a speed Defense like ours every day in practice you HAVE to have a solid and smart offensive attack

The main thing is that I think we've controlled both of the games, all the way through.

I'm interested in seeing how the team reacts if they make turnovers / give up big plays, that kind of thing. Do they have the confidence to snap back?

This Sunday is a great test. I'm psyched.
