After being tied up with a mediocre Grisham novel it's a pleasure/hoot to be into another Robert B. Parker, PLAYMATES. I was laughing my ass off after four pages.

I just started my 10th Robert B. Parker novel, BAD BUSINESS. Needless-to-say he can hold my attention.

    The Taking - Dean Koontz

I just finished The Darkest Evening of The Year by Koontz. Always been one of my favorite authors but haven't read him much in awhile so I have plenty to choose from. Lots of the Odd novels to read but I need to figure out which order to read them in (if it matters).

Any other Koontz fans out there? I was wondering if his Frankenstein novels were any good.

    The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli

Essentially, Machiavelli advocates letting your people have their property and women, but making sure that they know what you are capable of doing if they step out of line.
