    Just finished A Widow for One Year by John Irving.

    I fucking adore John Irving. Some of the quirkiest characters ever devised, & he always makes me both laugh & cry.

    I think that was the last Irving novel I read. Is that where the errand boy starts banging the mother. Something about playing squash and a picture removed from the wall. Dude is perverted.

    I've recently read some comparisons of Irving's work with Vonnegut's & with Thomas Pynchon's. I've read about everything of Vonnegut's, I think; but I've never read Pynchon. Anyone familiar with him? Comments?
