just got done reading..."To Be the Man," which is the Nature Boy's biography. It whipped ass, I've sinced moved on to "Population 485." I'll let ya'll know how it is. It takes me a while to read books mainly because I read them only on the shitter.

You may wan to check out this site I used to frequent: SuperShadow.com It's a Q&A type of thing run by a guy with a good sense of humor who seems to be in with Lucas. I quit going because all the spoilers pretty much ruined Attack of the clones for me

wossa, Whatcha think of Koontz's False Memory? I thought it was one of his best/creepiest.

ECILAM, Joseph Campbell's work is brilliant! And I think Vogler's The Writer's Journey is awesome. I keep referring back to it.

playa, How do you like Life of Pi? It sounds fascinating, but I haven't picked it up yet.

Stuff I've read this summer: The Time Traveller's Wife-- unique & absolutely delightful.

Spangle, by Gary Jennings--an undiscovered treasure.

Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, by David Sedaris (audio)--very funny & often touching.

Deception Point, by Dan Brown (audio)--entertaining while on the road.

Ten Big Ones, by Janet Evanovich--love her "Stephanie Plum" series, fluff but an absolute hoot.

Fighting Back, by Ralph Nader--very informative, plenty to piss me off.

Fear of Flying, by Erica Jong. Never got around to reading it when it first came out. Think I appreciate it far more now than I would have then, anyway. Brilliant work.

The Bean Trees, by Barbara Kingsolver--wonderful characters & story.

The Street Lawyer, by John Grisham--enjoyed it thoroughly.

Now reading Cat in a Kiwi Con, by Carole Nelson Douglas, one of her "Midnight Louie" mysteries. Total fluff, good fun reading when I don't want to THINK--just relax.

realy like False Memory so far - always like Koontz' stuff.

I never have been able to get into those Stephanie Plum books - bought a few cheapo paperbacks awhile back and didn't like them like I thought I would.

To each his/her own :) I think that series cracks me up in large part because I KNOW people like her quirky characters. Matter of fact, I'm related to some of them. If you gotta have a weird family, you may as well enjoy their entertainment value ;)
