what? Im was thinking they may all be pretty shitty considering the age group they are written for, but I assume there are a number of different authors so some may be decent

That book, along with his "Masks of God" series are probably the books that have had the greatest impact on how I view religion and its role in society. The man was brilliant.

You may have done this already, but if you get a chance, watch his "Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth" series from PBS & Bill Moyers. I believe it is now available on DVD.

I'm a Star Wars junkie, so of course I like the books. Things really pick up when you get to the New Jedi Order books. They're fighting some nasty bitches and beloved characters actually die.

Been traveling a lot. Read 3 books.

Bleachers - by Grisham. Boy goes back home to bury the father he never had type story, with some football thrown in. I like a lot of Grisham's non-thriller books. He's a good story teller, even when simple.

Me Talk Pretty One Day - Sedaris. Heard one of his stories on NPR, had me rolling. Very sarcastic wit.

Rum Diaries - Hunter S Thompson. One of my favorite authors, this book was actually written in the 50s.

    All three are very good.

Yeah it is. Campbell really has a way with words when it comes to making his points. I've only just now gotten started on it, but the Christopher Vogler book gave a good outline of Campbell's thinking. Apparently this guy was a fan of Jung.

Brilliant, yes, I agree. And would you believe I rented that DVD from Blockbuster? That's what a geek I am. Unfortunately I watched it on one of those nights when I was too tired to really keep up with it. I'll have to try again sometime.
