Just finished Grisham's THE ASSOCIATE. It borderline sucked, a mediocre read. I kept reading, because of Grisham's skillful writing, but it never got into anything. The subject was outstanding but he never developed the damn story, IMO.

Just started Michael Connelly's CHASING THE DIME.

    MIND PREY - John Sandford

Just finished his NIGHT PREY, it was pretty good, but MIND PREY seems to be even better, after just a couple of chapters.

Fwiw, TRUE CRIME is a very dark, gut-wrenching novel, depicting an innocent man on death row with less than ten hours to live. And, his dealing with his feelings and how he wants his wife and five years old daughter to remember him. Somebody, a reporter, finally believes his innocence and races against the clock to find the real shooter, etc., and to get a stay of execution.

I can't imagine being on death row, being completely innocent and nobody believing it until time is almost up. damn
