Ruffian: Burning From the Start, by Jane Schwartz.

I was only gonna look at it, read a few tidbits here & there on my break at work; but I'm hooked now. HAD to buy the damn book.

I remember this incredible racehorse, watching the big match-up unfold on TV back in the 70s between her & Foolish Pleasure, the colt who had won the Kentucky Derby.

    Both great names, too.

Just finished One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Al Franken's book, Lies and the Lying Liars (always good to see what the other side is talking about). I was surprised, while some parts of it were dumb (like the fictionalized Vietnam segment), some of it was pretty intelligent...

Now I'm reading The Adventures of Augie March, by Saul Bellows.

Not sure what's next, though I have a big book of the Complete Grimms Fairy Tales i've been meaning to get to.

"Irresistible Impulse" by Robert K. Tanenbaum
I've read only 3 pages, seems very promising.
Gotta pick up the Franken book when it comes to used book store.

Just started Crichton's Timeline. Movie previews look good and book seems cool so far.

That's been out for awhile, right? Crichton's work is pretty diverse, which is why I like him.

    I just finished Lemony Snicket's Books 2 & 3.

I just started A Game of Thrones. This series has been highly recommended to me by several people. It's looking great so far.
