What would you do to fix the NBA?

Quicker Techs if you argue a call. It's funny how the classic games have players getting called for a foul and absolutely no protests of any kind are launched. I like that a lot.

Leave the shot clock alone, 24 is fine.

Get rid of the 3 second call (both ways) or get rid of zones. Zones cut down on the ability to attack the basket which is something fans love to see. The 3 second call is unnecessary, I think, if you allow zones and just ends up causing too many stoppages.

Allow anybody at any age to be drafted, but have an allowance for teams who draft players that aren't active due to other obligations (other leagues, college, etc).

Add college and european league experience into the pay scale tiering (right now it's only pro experience). This'll help keep kids in school if it means more money in the long run.

More accountability on the part of the refs. Put Mark Cuban in charge of this. If it's a violation, it's a violation -- period. They're just now starting to call lane violations properly.

 

Require that every player play at least 3 years of college ball or have at least 2 years in a minor league basketball league... create a minor league for this a limit its exposure and have the MAXIMUM salary at less than the NBA minimum... that way people go to college to learn fundamentals... by the time they've reached the NBA they have better team fundamentals... and college kids should recieve a precentage of the schools sales... ALL players on the team 1-15 make an equal salary based on merchandise sold, concession sales, ticket sales, and TV revenue... the school still gets the majority of the revenue but enough is alloted for the players to allow them to consider staying in school

 

It's already out there. It's called college basketball.

 

Two things is all they need to do.
1. Inforce the rules they have! Two steps is all you get not three before its travling.
2. Don't give the Kobe's and Iverson's calls that the 12th man doesn't get. You know that little thing that has became known as the MJ rule.

 

I thought you cant play zone in the NBA. thats 'illegal defense'

well yeah but this is first year ising it... picky

 

1. Eliminate Defensive Three.
2. All Fouls after 5 in Quarter is 1 and 1 with 10 Fouls being 2 shots.
3. International Lane.
4. Only call fouls in the last 2 minutes that are muggings.
