every year a good college player improves a faction of his game. I would love to see Demon become a little more in control this year. I think he also has the athleticism to slash more, especially when you have to D him up close to protect the three. He doesn't have to finish, but as tight as people will gaurd him, it would be nice to see him slash and dish more.

I can only hope he'd slash and dish. For every three he makes, he takes a bad shot and those hurt unless you get a rebound. But perhaps, the others will hit enough that he doesn't feel the need to score. Not knocking him, but I'm not sure that is possible.

Hopefully he comes back a better defensive player. He will never be a great defensive player because he is a bit slow but he was a liability last year. If he just plays some good defense and works to get open looks he can really help us.

I was thinking of posting something on Demon this morning. I can't believe he only has about thirty-something games left with us. I'm really gonna miss him. He has stayed eligible and should graduate, and he didn't grow up in an environment nuturing to education. Lutz and company might want to look into keeping him around as an assistant. He would be invaluable giving "life lessons". HE's living proof you can make it out of the ghetto. IF you're a young urban kid, who would you rather listen to about that, Lutz, Moxley, Moss, or Survivor Demon?

Anyway, Demon lead last year, but you can't make chicken cordon bleu out of chicken shit. (Butter, Tory, Best). After a few stupid fouls, he would hit himself on the bench. Three years playing, one as a leader, so he should be ready to go. He's no gem defensively, but he tries.

Mitchell should get a lot of minutes for this reason alone. We'll see what's up with Bennett, but being guarded by Mitchell after Plavich or Demon is the difference between a 70mph fastball and a 98 mph fastball, IMHO.

I wish he'd get about 5 inches taller and get a few more seconds of air time and get some nasty dunks going down the middle!

I just hope Demon leads with his actions. He must lead on and off the court. I do not want anymore bullshit coming down this year. I am so tired of the "chemistry" problems of the past.

dawg, last year Lutz apparently wasn't aware of the chemistry problems, so I have heard. Demon going for those records made alot of animosity apparently.

There is another side to that. What the hell was Demon gonna do, pass the ball to Butter, Tory, Basden, or Nash? Uggh. I think Lutz thought Withers would freak out if they let him handle the ball in the post a lot. Grier too. They sure as hell aren't going to get better watching. Even though they were freshman, they were still better than the other four I mentioned.

I think Withers will be our Mvp this year. 15 pts and 8 rebs a game.
