Other than Jake's performance I'd say the defensive gameplan. It seemed to me on quite a few occasions that people on defense seemed lost as to where they were supposed to line up. I know I saw Marshall wandering around several times obviously lost as to where he was supposed to be. Seemed to be quite a bit of confusion. I'm not sure how many wrinkles the Cardinals could have thrown in with just a week to get ready for the game that would have caused that much of a problem figuring out where to line up. And considering we had two weeks to get a gameplan installed plus not having to worry about Boldin on gameday.

That's actually a good point that I'd missed while wondering about the impressiveness of their gameplan. Arizona clinched their division on December 7th, so they've had a lot of time to come up with stratagems.

In addition to that it was a short week, although Arizona had the same 6 days that we had. I guess that was our penalty for being the 2 seed.

Marshall sucks in Zone. He's lost quite a bit, and really seems to get confused, especially with respect to where Lucas should be/who to cover.

In fact, I'm not sure if its poor coaching, but we really aren't great at zone coverage, whether that's our 'bread and butter', it shouldn't be, imo.

What pissed me off the most is going into a home PO game at 12-4, NOT being the underdogs (1st PO game I remember being favored by any kindo margin like that) in a game we really 'should' win after a bye and being healthy, and showing the world how Detroit woulda looked had they been alowed to play in a PO game for shits ad giggles, and really playing like dogshit. That and losing perhaps any faith in JD that I mighta had, and knowing he and the entire fuking staff are comming back next year, with perhaps a weaker team and a harder shedule. And It'll probably be another 2 years or more before we even get another shot in the POs. And having to remember that debacle for the whole offseason, and for years possibly. Yeah, the whole mutherfukin thing pissed me off and still does.

And Fox and co. is in denial about what is wrong with our team, and what they should be concerned with.

That sounds fair. Based on this analysis though, how do we improve? Do we change our "bread and butter" or replace Turgo with someone who is more flexible? And, if we did replace Turgo, would Fox allow that flexibility?

Agreed, and that's funny considering his DB background. Wasn't he a safety in college?
