    Holy cow. I bet even UNC fans think you are an idiot for this statement. College basketball SHOULD be about the NBA? What the fuck is that?

    My $.02; I agree....the one and only time ever pulled UNC was against in the finals against MIchigan and fab-5....I told someone back in the early 80's that if UNC played the USSR I would be pulling for the commies....but I have mellowed since then....still do not pull for them in or out of conference....mostly because of the whine and jeezers......

    Let me explain: Yes, I want to see Carolina do well. I'd also like to see the players that come out of UNC do well in the NBA.

    You go to college for education to do well in the real workforce, right?

    Why shouldn't college athletics be similiar?

    Because they are (or used to be) student athletes and I would rather them play for the name across their chest than auditioning for agents and scouts.
