What can be done to awake our offence

  1. Just having Foster in the mix should wake things up

Who or what that could change would make the biggest impact on our feeble offence? and give realistic suggestions to what can be done.

I don't think Henning should step down. Some better play calling late in games and on 3rd and long would suit me... also if the plays that are called are executed properly we wouldn't be discussing this.

    ie. dropped passes and blocking

    Don't forget the fucking penalties.

Well, I posted this before......... but we drafted a RB in the 2nd round for a reason, and that reason is still obvious on the field.

I gave props to Lamar when his game looked solid, but he's a straight ahead no nonsense type of guy. He gets that extra yard or two, but that's really all you get.

When Foster can get the ball on a sweep or hit that hole when it's big, he's going to get us that extra 5 or 6 yards, maybe 20 or 30. When the Def sees him coming up for the ball, they'll bite hard on the play action.

Right now teams are stuffing the run, but they're not respecting the run.

Foster is more of a recieving back as well. Getting him in some open field on a screen or a one-on-one situation is going make more than just a few extra first downs.

He can out run a LB and run over a DB. Well, that's JMO, but he's going to be a difference maker. He's going to make people around him better. And we really only need to get just a little bit better.

if it's Fox's ultimate decision to continually run draws and dives on third down because of some shitty percentage, then that's the problem. For the most part the problem is that we're running against eight men in the box and that's just stupid. Sure, it means occasionally we'll get a nice long pass out of it. I'd rather move the chains than get some freebie 7 points and those be our only seven.

I think teams are showing 8, but they're stuffing us with 3 or 4. That's why the others are not actually having to "bite" on the play. With Foster, they will have to bite or he'll be in their secondary.

Doesn't matter what they're stuffing us with. If the run doesn't work for more than three yards and there are eight men up, there's no need to be concerned about where the breakdown on the run is. The ball should be in the air.
