What is the first movie you remember watching

    The first movie that I can remember watching is War of the Worlds. Mom and Dad let me and my cousin go see it by ourselves. Perhaps that is why I remember it so vividly. We watched it at the Temple in Gastonia, cost 6 Coca Cola caps to get in.

    The movie actually scared the b-jesus out of me. I was probably 8. I have mixed feelings about seeing the new one. I may call my cousin and ask if she wants to go see it.

    first one i went to was ET @ drive in Gastonia...i wasnt 1 yet

    first one i remember going to was maybe Transformers...or Willy Wonka (childrens film series or something) not sure whichone is first

    The first one I went to a theater to see was Star Wars. I have a vague recollection of watching the Blob on television and being scared shitless by it.

    Oh, at the movies.....

    Hmmm, I dunno- I just remember seeing the Wizard of Oz in color and thought my time had come when I saw those ruby slippers. :satana:

    First movie I saw in the movie theater was either Star Wars or THe Warriors....saw both at a drive in but cant tremember which was first.

    The first movie I probably ever saw at home was either Wizard of Oz or some movie they played on Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights on ABC.

    I also remember very early on on Thanksgiving Day Channel 9 WOR up here used to have a Monster Movie Marathon that played 5 or 6 Godzilla movies in a row..I became a Godzilla junkie at a young age.

    Main Street, if I remember correctly the name later changed to the Center. I watched my first movie there probably about 57 or so.

    What was the one across from City Hall on South St.?
