I don't believe "grad" was there. But, if memory serves me right, your right arm contained a very hard ball that became embedded in a portion of his skin at very fast pace. I'm thinking ribs, but I found my memory to be dwindling these days.

the dude kept stepping out of the box calling time as I was getting signs from Jeff Berry. He called time at least 3 times in one at bat, finally I saw him call time for the 4th time in one at bat and proceeded with my pitch anyway, and yes, it stuck in his left ribcage. He was about 3 feet out of the batter's box when it hit him  , the coolest thing was he then tried to bunt and the ball popped up and hit him in the face :D and then on the next pitch he struck out.......poor fella.

You sure have a short and selective memory, so I'll refresh it for you. Jeter was hit in retaliation for Clemmons hitting Millar in the hand. Soriano was probably retaliation as well but also because he is all over the plate and apparently no one else in the American league had the balls to get him off it. The only other guy that would have done it is Clemmons and you can be sure that if they were not team mates, Clemmons would drill Soriano first chance he got.

You can shake your finger all you want but if Roger had not drilled Millar, Jeter and probably Soriano would not have been hit.

Waving a rally towel in a bullpen is no reason to get jumped by five guys. I'm glad that the guy punched Nelson in the head. And I guarantee that none of those guys would have messed with that guy one on one which further proves how chickenshit the whole incident was.

Going back to Garcia, Real, I am not saying charging the mound was going to make the situation better, but dont stand at home plate running your mouth like a badass. Just shut up and take first base or go ahead out to the mound. He showed everyone what a punk he is by jumping into the pen and taking a shot at a guy being held down.

By the way, can all the Zimmer apologists get off Pedro's back after that tear filled apology from the fat bald guy.

For those who missed it, he apologized for charging Martinez and said he embarrased himself, the Yankees and the Redsox before bursting into tears and running off the podium.

I give him credit for admitting he was out of line.

Hey Zim, there's no crying in baseball.

Somewhere Bill "Spaceman" Lee is smiling that the whole world knows that Zimmer is not level headed and can't control his temper. Zimmer pulled Lee out of the rotation in 1978 because he called Zimmer a "gerbil" repeatedly in the Globe. Red Sox give up the big lead to the Yanks, we know the rest. Zimmer claimed Lee was done becuase of an old shoulder injury, yet Lee won 16 games in 1979 with Les Expos.

    Fuck Zimmer.

When was the last time a player was fined $50,000 for an on field incident that he was not thrown out of a game for?

Both those pitches were damn near strikes. If a guy has his hands out over the plate and gets hit, that certainly isn't the pitchers fault.

If you haven't read this column by Jim Caple on ESPN.com, do so, it's priceless and it 'stabs" both tams.

    Jim Caple's ESPN Column

As for Pedro's inside pitches, those "were damn near strikes" and he was brushing them back...taking over the inside part of the plate. Awesome precision. Awesome control.
The pitch at Garcia's thick skull was head-hunting and that's how he started this mess. And chicken squat Pedro leaves his teammates to defend his sorry, wimpy a$$!

I don't give a shit what Zimmer said, not many of us would knock a 72 year old down to the ground.
