What if we do not move Peppers and he signs the tender and does not hold out. We go through the draft and get a little help for the DL and some depth in other areas. What then? Do we restructure extend some guys to get cap space so we can sign some low level free agents or do we just go with what we have? We should not need to clear much cap space do sign our picks since they are all fairly low salary slots.

I could see us doing something with Jake's cap number by extending him. We have a very hard schedule this coming year and need to be loaded for bear.

I think we go with what we have. And we'll get pounded. A lot.

From what I've read he is ready to sit out the whole year. So unless he is traded (him knowing we have a trade to a team he wants to play for and him signing the tender) he won't be around and us sitting on 17 mil of unproductive money. Hopefully the PFT thread means that this cluster fuck is almost at an impass and Julius can go play somewhere else.

Can we deactivate his ass if he signs his tender? If we can, we ought to just take our lumps this year and make his ass sit on the bench every game. If he wants to play hardball, we can, too. Fox needs grow a pair!

I really doubt he will hold out. He would be giving up $17 million dollars if he did that. Even for a rich guy like him that is a lot of coin.

I'm not as worried about OL or CB as I am about DL, so if we don't get three good DL I'll expect us to find a way to do something with a vet.

If we are young or somewhat thin at backup CB (where we have vets) or OL (where we don't actually have a vet presence), I can deal with that. We need some serious DL beef like yesterday.

Sure sign him to 17 million a year deal and then deactivate him. He's killed our off season lets shoot ourself in the foot and not play him
