My living room is long and narrow (something like 16x25) We have the sofa opposite an entertainment cent on the longer walls. The entertainment center is massive and we have had it forever. Problem is the TV spot can only hold a 32" TV. I found This site that ranks 32" HDTVs can anyone offer some advice?

First of all measure the width and height of the entertainment center. Widescreen TVs and CRT TVs don't measure the same way. You may be able to hold more than you think. So I'd try at a 37 to 42 inch. Simply find out how much space you've got and then find the width measurements of a TV you're looking to buy. The Sharp Aquos series is good for the 32 to 37 inch range.

    basically

Don't let your entertainment center dictate your tv size, let your budget do that.
