The original Greek word translated in the KJV as "gulf" is literally transliterated as "chasma". In just about every other translation, it appears as the word "chasm".

Ezekiel 44:23-25

vs 23: "And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.
vs 24: "In controversy they shall stand as judges, and judge it according to My judgments,. They shall keep My laws and My statutes in all My appointed meetings, and they shall hallow My Sabbaths.
vs 25: They shall not defile themselves by coming near a dead (spiritually) person, only for father or mother, for son or daughter, for brother or unmarried sister may they defile themselves.
vs 26: "After he is cleansed, they shall count seven days for him.

Note: The Elect/priest can go to a relative and present the word and before returning to their place must wait 7 days. The 7 days is because they have been around the unclean or dead (spiritually). Also, chapter 44 all are in the millennium (1000 year period).

Rev 20:5-6 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
vs 6: Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priest of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Note: The dead (spiritually) will come out of Hades and be with God.

 

i don't see anything about people who've not heard the word of god in their lifetime getting a 2nd chance in the afterlife.

 

Most people today with their busy schedules don't have or take time to get into the Word and study using different references such as the Strong's Concordance.

Most Pastor's today don't teach Chapter by Chapter and Verse by Verse. They will take a couple verses out of Bible and preach an hour on that verse. Well, it will take about 600 years to go thru the Bible teaching this way.

I still see from those on TV preaching about the Rapture...there is NOT going to be a rapture. There are pastors that preach unknown tongues, and what is being preached from the pulpit today is tradition...traditions of men.
