    I've said it several times:

    1. Jeff Buckley - the man. Has the "velvet underground" type distinction of being who the artists/actors you listen to, listen to themselves for inspiration. Been listening for 8 years now and NEVER gets old. What could have been. :(
    2. Elliott Smith - Ben Folds loves him too. Check Ben's cover of "Say Yes". Not bad, though original is much better.
    3. Im a techno junkie and never tire of my mix CDs of stuff like Moby, Daft Punk, etc.
    4. I am a sucker for soft voiced female leads like Portishead's Gibbons (as Magnus mentioned). I usually have a borderline crush on the flavor of the week and bring old ones out of retirement to fill the gaps. A couple weeks ago it was Halfdis Huld for her vocal on that FC Kahuna track. Then it was Lili Haydn ("Come Here") for about a day. Time to rotate though.

I always meant to get around to checking out Soul Coughing. When they were hot, I was all about techno bands like Chem Bros & Crystal Method, rockers like Ash (1977!!) & Wilco.
