From what I heard they took care of that for him. Good thing too, I don't think he'd have made it out alive otherwise.

Funny thing is if you look at the picture there are several other guys going for the ball too. They're probably the same ones that threw beer on him shortly there-after.

As I just said in the other thread, that guy is NOT responsible for the 8 runs. The Cub pitchers not getting the outs are. Gonzo committing a key error is.

Edit - the Cub pitchers gave up 5 hits and 3 walks in the inning. The fan didn't do that.

Bingo. Should have been a double play and end of inning. Derrick Lee started it off next batter

exactly, you guys bustin this fan are crazy. the ball was in his lap and EVERY single human would of done the same thing. Hell the whole section tried to catch it. Moises Alou F'd up, those outfielders are supposed to call the fans off the way you do a another player. As he approached the ball he could yell I got it or don't touch it.

The Cubs had plenty of opportunity to close the deal and pissed down thier leg.

Can you explain to me why a batter was intentionally walked with 1 out and runners on 2nd and 3rd? I didn't understand that.
