He's 6' and 230. That's a load. Hoover is 240 and Goings 225, both 6', both playing FB. I don't know much about Hicks I'm just very curious as to why we signed him this season?

Depth. Smith was out, Brown was dinged, Montgomery was kinda bad.

Rod Smart looked pretty sharp on that one run.

He has been inactive for both games? Seems like we would have know that before we picked him up. How much did we pay him to watch two games on the bench? I would love that position.

I think alot of it was to have him on the roster this coming Tuesday.

This Tuesday, he'd have been snagged b/c non-playoff teams will be able to put 80 guys on the roster again. We'll want to have him on the ream at the May mini camp.

Also makes you kinda wonder what the hell's up with Foster.

Not that it matters, but Dee Brown seems to think he'll be back.

Of course, I don't think Dee got his medical degree before leaving Syracuse.

Dee's earned a roster spot next year. Granted, if Smart returns, and Bates returns, they'll each have something for that roster spot as well. Not to say that Brown's earned it, but he certainly has the upper hand at second or third RB, depending on what we do. At first glance, you hope for a new starter, you hope that Foster's good enough to be 2nd, Brown's the 3rd and you target between Smart and Bates for the fourth. We could really use both of those two, but you really run a risk when carrying two useless backs.

Goings comes back, but he's gotta be a big longshot to make it, because Montgomery will inevitably get another shot, Hicks will finally be worth something, Foster will be here, Hoover will most likely be here, and we have fifty fucking useless backs and we'll only stand to get more. Just like nickel back last year.

but the nickle back seemed to work out quite nicely granted we still need a playmaker at that position.

It was most enjoyable watching the Aints lay an egg when all they needed was one little win to make the playoffs.

The defense looked stout today - I can only imagine how good they will be next year with Morgan back and another full preseason with Del Rio whipping them into a frenzy.

one good thing about all the injuries and suspensions on the D was all the playing time it gave to guys like Wallace.

7-9 - hard to believe they finished that good after that 8 game losing streak.

Heres to the playoffs next year.

what a great way to finish off the year!! 4 out of 5 aint bad at all, and we didnt play horrible against pittsburgh. i really like the way our secondary has progressed throughout the year, as the announcer mentioned, the receivers for the saints were getting drilled on every catch they made. we've developed a swarming mentality on defense, and with the addition of our studs next season, we should take off from where we left off.

muhammad had a solid game today, as did smith- i really think both have undergone attitude changes and will be instrumental to our offensive success next season. what a great way to finish off a very satisfying year.

hopefully, we'll maintain our defense by adding a player or 2 to the mix, and revitalize our offense with a decent qb, wideout, and tight end (although wiggins is starting to grow on me).

terry fair, rashard anderson, d foster (hopefully), bates, peppers, morgan, towns will be in the mix next year, lets hope we can think playoffs.
