They're interested. Plus, there was all the talk of another offensive playmaker.

I actually think D line is a bigger need now than Oline....RB right after. But they're all big enough that in my opinion - which is shared by a small minority - any of them are acceptable at 13.

The tackle thing is interesting to me more for having very solid depth AND the option to not marry Gross for 7-8 million per.

D line is a big need after losing 2 of 4 starters and not necessarily feeling great about Johnson and McClover.

RB is interesting bc we have always carried 2 starter quality guys with Fox - except 2002 - and it's logical they could continue that, even at 13.

seems at some point you'd like to say "ok, here's our kicker for the next 12 years"

I'd be ok going into camp with what we have a DE and knowing Rucker is probably a phone call away if needed. I'd be just a fine with taking Harvey at #13.

    Exactly.

Hoping Toefield is good enough, Mendenhall too would be fine with me at #13. this is also a deep draft for RB's maybe even more so the OT.

As much as I don't like the idea of drafting a RB at 13 and thought they wouldn't do it, some of the things Fox has said leads me to believe it could happen. The top tier OT, and DE for that matter, are much better than the 2nd tier ones compared to the elite RB's and 2nd tier RB's if you understand that. My point is we could get a somewhat comparably productive RB a bit later. Not to mention we already have a 1st round RB. This shit keeps me up at night.

Quite frankly, I'd love to see us draft Chris Williams, and in the second, maybe position ourselves to trade up enough to snag a Lawrence Jackson, because he'll be gone by the time we're up.

If for some reason, Clady and Williams are gone? I'd do jumping jacks if we drafted Harvey. Because at this point, DL is currently a bigger need than OL, with the moves we've made. We got nothing at one end, man, and not enough at tackle.

edit: Also, I just feel RB is too deep to draft Mendenhall, no matter how good I think he is. I mean--DeAngelo Williams is a damn good back and a first rounder. Lets get a guy who can be on the field 80-90% of the snaps at least with the first round, right? A Harvey, or a Williams....

Harvey, Williams or Clady would be good picks at #13, IMHO.

From the bottom of the article defending Foster:

I'm sure the Falcons will have that posted in Turner's locker.

I would like to see us move down and take Stewart several picks later. I think teams that pass him by because of his toe surgery are going to be really upset they did so. I personally like him a bit more than Mendenhall. This is assuming Clady isn't available.
