My comment wasn't meant to imply respect.

Think Matthew McConaughey in Dazed & Confused.

That's the problem a million times over. I can't imagine they'd put out this lineup if they knew they had competition.

I don't listen to Packer anymore...does he still basically negoiate his contract on-air before he goes on vacation in December? Because, you know, that's really professional and relevant to sports.

I hope that his trip to the Cowboy-Panther game sells out quickly. Otherwise, we will get multiple reminders each day. I am already tired of hearing about it.

Amen to the lack of competiton. Hell a National feed on a FM station would knock FNZ out the door

Heard that a local AM was trying to get ESPN Radio full-time and WFNA had to go ahead and bite the bullet and commit to their programming full-time (aside of occasional pre-empting for live games)so that there will be no more simulcasting of the WFNZ shows and that you can now have M&M and evening programming full-time on 1660. Now you will have a choice, but I did not hear of a timetable for this to occur.

I'm a Sirius guy, so I won't share in your joy, but I thought I would pass that word along.

It's sad that people would rather listen to ESPN guys talk about the Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys, than their teams because the local sports talk radio is so bad. That should be a message the WFNZ that they need to improve their programing.

Question why would the Tarheels use a piss watt station like FNZ as their Charlotte station?

I think WBT management at the time wanted to emphasize the talk side of the lineup vs. sports, which is why the let go of the TarHeels. Its crazy that the biggest college team in the state is on the worst signal in this market . . . Uggggh

I don't see why 106.1 wasnt transformed into a FM SportsTalk station. Nothing against Spanish radio, but I would think the potential of making money with an FM Sportstalk Station (where you could now make a bid for the Panthers and/or Bobcats radio rights, as well as secure an area ACC school to fill in the lineup) would be tempting for someone to take the plunge and go for it
