    steve smith will have to take on a much larger role with the offense. the jeffers thing has been a possibility for months, so i'm sure the panthers have been preparing accoringly. if smith has a sophomore slump, the panthers are in trouble.

    A Moose / Walls / Smith trifecta seems purty nice, actually. Throw in Foster, and it's great if Weinke can get it there.

    If Steve Smith is the player who makes us or breaks us then we are in deep shit anyway.

    I dunno. I guess we can pretty much anticipate what Walls and Moose will bring to the table. And it's not a stretch to expect our running game to be decent. Actually, quite a bit hinges on how well Smith fits in and contributes to the offense.
