West Meck (Jeff Mcinnis) summer league

Pretty sure it ok for the Panthers players to play in leagues like these. Mike Minter and Broughton(TE) played in a basketball league at Charlotte Sports Center on Harris. Grant actually a decent Basketball player- he about 5-8/5-9 and has some good move and can dunk with ease, he seems to have about a 45 inch vertical if not more. Had 13 pts Monday.


In tonight's game, Grier and Withers cont. to look good and score about 7 a piece. Demarco had 26 going against Todd Fuller. Pepsi(Demon and Clemmons) did not play.

 

Did DeMarco shed some of those extra pounds he was carrying around last summer? How did he do in Europe last year?

 

no, he still has the extra pound and looks like he actually put on some weight.

In Tonight's games, Withers had 25 and looked very good around/going to the basket. Grier had about 12 and had an all around good game. Clemmons had 13pt.- 10-12ft was on and he was playing very physical. Demon was a no show.

Can not reminder who was guarding Withers. Spooner is not playing. The only current Niners playing are Grier, Withers, Clemmons and Demon.

Pepsi(Clemmons and Demon)- Grier and Demon were no shows. Neither Withers or Clemmons were very productive- they score about 8 a piece. Clemmons was playing hard and Withers was...there

 

In tonight games, Withers did not do much at all, Clemmons shoot was off for most of the night(but still had 10-12pts), Demon was not there, and of course Vincent "Transfer" Grier was not there.

Also, Marcus Bennett is playing on the Pepsi them with Clemmons and Demon. He is # 10. He looked pretty good.

 

In tonight games, Demon was a no show for Pepsi but Marcus Bennett and Clemmons was there. Bennett had 26(I will give a detail breakdown in the Marcus Bennett thread). Clemmons had about 14-16(most of very strong dunks), his shot was still off sum what.

Withers did not do much on the offense end- had 6 or 8 pts, but on the def. end he had 5 blocks and one he knocked into the 4th row.

 

In tonight games, Demon was a no show and Marcus Bennett had 19. Bennett cont. to look good and score in a variety of ways- about two 3pters, a few short range shoots, and couple basket on the break, couple free throw, and a few drivea to the basket for pts(one was a nice drive with a nice finishing dunk).

Dinkins showed up for Pepsi and look good with about 15

Clemmons had 20 and played very strong going against Skip Youngblood- had 7 very powerful dunk that no one would of been able to stop.

Withers had about 7 and looked ok.
