    As in the fucking basement.

Now, any win will be like popping the cherry. I'm kinda thinking we'll stink it up and wind up last place in the NFC south.

Weinke really doesn't juice my cannon. Our thin receiving corps is banged up. We committed about 1000 penalties on the line, and fucking Tuten started.

Thank God or fantasy football. If we finish .500, I'm stunned.

Of course, if they win at Atlanta, and the Bucs and Saints lose, I'm ready for some playoffs.

Weinke does no more or less for me than Peete. He'll make mistakes, but he'll also be a little more daring with the ball from the looks of things. God knows it'll probably get him benched again in favor of this wonderful mistake free run every down offense, because we can't have one single mistake from our offense - it's called being scared. Fuck the talent problems. Didn't hurt us in weeks one through three, we went out and won, damn the torpedoes. Now all of a sudden we can't go do something stupid like try and put points on the board.

I think our Defense affords us the opportunity to just open it wide fucking open. Conservative may have been the plan to start the season, but nobody knew how good the Defense would really be. Now we do.

but wasn't that because we just kept banging smith up in there until the other team wore down? haven't teams adjusted to take smith away and dare us to beat them with the pass? doesn't our offensive talent pretty much suck? don't we have QBs that are considered to be some of the worst in the NFL ? don't we have receivers that not only have trouble getting open but can't catch? do we have speed anywhere on the offense? does it make since calling high risk plays often when you really don't have the weapons to make them work and you have a defense that should afford you to be conservative? isn't it easy to accuse the coaches of playing scared after a loss when you're sitting in your lazy boy? is anybody else amazed that we could easily be 6-0 without a missed FG, a bad bounce on a fumble and a blown coverage? does anybody else remember that we went 1-15 last year and we were considered to be one of the worst teams in the history of football and folks were predicting a 2-14 year this year?

henning may call a weird and questionable game but it's putting us in position that we should of won the last 3 games. call it "scared" if ya want. not sure i wouldn't be scared with our QBs.

pretty much every team has adjusted to that except us, the one team that should be on top of what we're doing.

I'll call it scared. No one else in the league tries so hard to give the ball to the punter. Todd's great. He's apparently our best offensive weapon...so why even try to score points? We wouldn't ever want to do that in so many one point to three point losses. Let's just take our defense for granted.

If we ever get up on a team by 40 or 50 points in the 4th quarter... I'd love to see them throw him in a linebacker... he'd love to do it... I enjoyed his penalties on special teams earlier... nothing like watching a punter bust a guy then stand over him and taunt...

I'm still going to make those bumper stickers and tshirts - if we go 3-6 that says...

"Oh yea... our punter can kick your punters ass"

Unless we change something and I mean quick we'll be seeing 8 in a box and a lot of 1-2-3 punt from here on out. The only thing I can think of is we're waiting on Foster to get back before openning things up full throttle. He gives us the outside speed on sweeps, screens, and down the sidelines out of the backfield. If we see more of the same once he returns, it's a waste of his talent.

No - as soon as Foster has a few break away runs by running outside or off a screen, henning will try to make run him up the middle... every play.

It'll be tough to change things with Byrd and Smith hurt.

I hate it for Foster that he has to come back against the Bucs.

Maybe Walls has gotten old, and it isn't just Henning.

Walls needs to assume a player coach role right now. Thats how he could best help whatever we have at TE.
