So, before I got pregnant, I was comfortable with my weight. I realized long ago I was never going to be skinny and I was ok with that. I lost all but 7lbs from my pregnancy and then had to have my thyroid ablated which brought on 20 lbs in about 6 weeks. Joy. :trophy: The doctor assured me it would all come off once I was taking enough thyroid replacement. 3 months later, I've only lost about 7 lbs of the 20 I gained. I'm exercising (although I didn't do it regularly before), eating moderatley, drinking plenty of beer twice a week and it's happening -but entirely too slowly. Something else strange- when I really push myself while exercising- I get nauseated to the extreme. Ie..... have to sit in the floor, pale, gonna puke any second nausea (my heart is fine.) That's happened 3 times.
So anyway- what's the best way? Anyone else had thyroid maladies? The doctor says I'm pushing it- but he doesn't have to buy my clothes.

You want to try the "New Mayo Clinic" diet? It's easy and has quick rewards. Just google it. I lost 9 lbs. in 12 days.

Well, let's see. You look great the way you are and you're losing weight slowly through diet and exercise. Is there actually something wrong here, or does someone just need a hug?

Actually, I know thyroid stuff can really throw a wrench in things for women, but I only have second hand info, so you're stuck with the wiseass comment above.

Thank you, but it's more about not being able to wear my clothes. All girls wanna buy new stuff, but I don't wanna buy the next size up because I might get too comfy in them and the size I am in now- I only have a limited supply from the puffy pregnancy days. Also, I feel better about 15-20 lbs lighter.
I can't even do a frickin cartwheel today I bet

Fly- I'm googling away! If there is no beer allowed, there's gonna be a fight buddy.

Not completely. Yes, you are restricted from eating rice, bread and pasta, but I ate all the vegies and salad I wanted plus grapefruit with each meal. This is a lot better than living the Atkins way. Keep in mind this is just 12 days than your free for two days and start over if you want or need to. The big drawback is no beer for those 12 days although I didn't stay with that part. It is a quick fix but it is very rewarding. A couple more times for me and I'll be shopping for my Harley.

I thought you had to be fat to ride one. I'm gonna stop stuffing throw pillows under my leathers.
