I'll take some of Carolina getting 8.5. The Pack has given 100 pts in the first 3 games.

I have a hunch that will be down to around a +3 by game time. Not many people are going to put money against the Panthers right now while quite a few would be willing to take a risk on the 3-0 upstarts.

 

doubt it will drop 5 1/2 points but it will go down.

 

i think it all depends on Ahman Green. I just read that it is still a good possibility that he won't play Sunday. I think that decision will sway the line one way or the other.

 

I would be shocked if it came under 6.5. Maybe some late money will come in Sat or Sunday and knock it down, but I doubt it. People simply have not caught on to the fact that Green Bay blows on D and still think that just because some pundits anointed GB a SB favorite that it's true.

I'm not endorsing a wager on either side here - just laying it out as to why that line will not come down. Bettors are like sheep for the most part. A lot of them follow the herd. The herd is still overvaluing GB and undervaluing Carolina.

 

It is already down to 7 points as of 6pm today. We are getting quite a bid of coverage on ESPN tonight so I'll stand by my "down to around a +3 by game time" prediction.

 

Panther line is still at 7.

Anyone else think that Miami (-3) is the motherlode sucker line of the week? They played (and finally beat) the Jets last week and have New England next week. Smells a little fishy...heh, heh (I know, that was bad.)
