Week 11 Picks

8.5 - 5.5 last week thanks to the PIT - ATL tie. If the Steelers would've won that game, I'd have been 9 - 5 for three weeks in a row. I'm 83.5 - 44.5 on the year.

    ARIZONA @ PHILADELPHIA -- PHI

Philly gets back to their winning ways against the fair weather Cards.

    CLEVELAND @ CINCINNATI -- CLE
Couch and the Browns should easily win Ohio Bowl II for 2002.

GREEN BAY @ MINNESOTA -- GB
Everyone knows Favre doesn't perform well on turf. But the Vikes can add a QB controversy to their woes. Maybe next year, Lex.

NEW ORLEANS @ ATLANTA -- ATL
Vick looks to sweep Brooks in Cuz Bowl II.

WASHINGTON @ NEW YORK (GIANTS) -- NYG
    Spurrier's baptism by fire continues.

SAN FRANCISCO @ SAN DIEGO -- SF
The Niners head south out of the fog and enjoy the warm sun of southern California... at the Chargers' expense.

    DENVER @ SEATTLE -- DEN
After their Monday night woes, the Broncos need a game to get back on track. Enter Matt Hasselbeck and the Seahawks.

NEW ENGLAND @ OAKLAND -- OAK
The Snow Job Part II. The Raiders will not forget.

    BUFFALO @ KANSAS CITY-- KC
This game could set a new single game scoring record. Priest Holmes should have a big day on the ground to keep Bledsoe & Co. off the field.

    DALLAS @ INDIANAPOLIS-- IND
The Colts had a huge win at the Vet last week. Dallas will try to steal this one on the legs of Emmitt and Troy Hambrick, but it will be too little, too late. Indy wins big.

    JACKSONVILLE @ HOUSTON -- JAX
The Jags will try to recoop some of their pride from giving up a road win to the Texans earlier in the year. Is Carr on IR yet? Meet Mr. Henderson.

    PITTSBURGH @ TENNESSEE -- PIT
Behind Maddox, the Steelers' O is rockin', with or without the Bus. No Freak for the Flaming Thumbtacks again this week.

CAROLINA @ TAMPA BAY -- TB
The O will be better this time with Rodney back, but the D is a shell of it's former self. No Morgan, no Buckner, no run contain. Here's hoping Julius gets 5 sacks this week.

    BALTIMORE @ MIAMI-- MIA
Baltimore is playing much better, but if the Phins cram Ricky Williams down their throats for 60 minutes, they should come away with a win.

NEW YORK (JETS) @ DETROIT -- NYJ
Should be a good matchup between two young and talented QB's in Harrington and Pennington. But right now, Pennington has more weapons and he's playing better.

CHICAGO @ ST. LOUIS -- STL
Da Bears' only hope is to run Anthony Thomas into the ground to keep the Rams' O off the field. But Chicago is not the team it was last year.

    8.5 - 5.5 last week, 85.5 - 55.5 on the year.

I like it when hasbeens goes first. I'm lazy.

    ARIZONA @ PHILADELPHIA -- PHI[/I]

    CLEVELAND @ CINCINNATI -- CLE

GREEN BAY @ MINNESOTA -- PACK

NEW ORLEANS @ ATLANTA -- SAINTS

    WASHINGTON @ NEW YORK (GIANTS) -- G-MEN

SAN FRANCISCO @ SAN DIEGO -- SF

    DENVER @ SEATTLE -- DEN

NEW ENGLAND @ OAKLAND -- OAK

    BUFFALO @ KANSAS CITY-- BILLS

    DALLAS @ INDIANAPOLIS-- COLTS

    JACKSONVILLE @ HOUSTON -- JAGS

    PITTSBURGH @ TENNESSEE -- STEELERS

CAROLINA @ TAMPA BAY -- CAROLINA

    BALTIMORE @ MIAMI-- PHINS

NEW YORK (JETS) @ DETROIT -- JETS

CHICAGO @ ST. LOUIS -- RAMS

Hey, you picked an extra game!

    :D

Are you serious about this pick, Piper? Why do you think the Cats can go into Tampa and pull out a win?

No, apparently I just can't add. I shall fix it.

I'm just feeling like this is a win. First off, Pittman has been inneffective vs even bad run Ds, and Gruden wouldn't take advantage of our weakness anyway. I feel like we will get to Brad Johnson early and often.

It's going to be the same kind of game as last time, but I have to think Peete will have a better passer rating than the zero Fasini got.

Its also time for Tampa's mid-season slide.

    So there's your win.

I only disagree on a few hasbeen.

    BALTIMORE @ MIAMI-- Balt

  8. :xyzthumbs Excellent post, Piper. Of course, that's just because I agree 100% with you. I believe Carolina can win this time 'round with Tampa.

hasbeens: sure looks like am doing that heart thing again, dont it? well, all i can say is only one is a total heart pick, but after reading piper's post, i had to go with it. the bucs are toast! cats win this one, (in my heart) hehehe...that right there is my heart pick for the week that piper sealed for me. i agree with muff. hella excellent post!:luxlove:

the vikes over the pack is not totally a heart pick. here is my reasoning:

    1. regardless of how the vikes stand (2-7), we still have one of the best offense. 2. the pack are not a turf/dome team. it is a known fact they have trouble winning at the terror dome. not just our dome but others. i.e. st. louis and new orleans. they know this and they can easily find a way to blow this game.
    3. half of the pack's roster is on injury reserve. they also know this. watch them play skeered. it's that mind thing. they are due for a loss. (i know they are thinking of a home field advantage for the playoffs. they need that, but they can blow this easy!)
