I'll have to tell Mike P. to stop reading & posting on our board since there's "no interest" in our porgram.

Wossa - I know it's beyond the pettiness of 90% of all ACC fans, but believe it or not, some other conferences' fans actually support their league members.

Depaul was a very mediocre team this season. We beat them handily in Halton with an equally bad team. Still, Leitao seems to be a class guy, and they have a lot of solid players who aren't punks and play hard.

I hated seeing them get punked by the refs and the allmighty $$. They deserved better. That first half Andre Brown played was a clinic on rebounding and tenacity. You only wish you had a post player half as good as him.

 

No shit! You could say that for just about any tourney out there. But it's not some conspiracy theory BS. For the most part your larger schools are going to get the better recruits. Why? Because kids with better talent, better chance to make the NBA aren't going to play for a smaller school where they don't get noticed. So the better team is going to win most of the time.

But fans also love to see the cinderella teams make or even win it all. If it's not a team I normally pull for in the game I usually pull for the underdog.

The smaller schools may have some disadvantages but it certainly wasn't the refs in that game last night.

 

Congratulations on making the two most lazy arguments possible in one thread:

2) the "big conference teams are better" BS. yeah, Brett Blizzard at UNCW sucks. Andre Brown was NOT a McD's AA and is not one of the best rebounders in basketball. Only in your world man.

If Depaul had more fans to sell tickets to, they would have rolled last night. The refs would have whistled the Tarqueers on every Blue Demon possession. Gotta protect that $$bank$$.

I am talking overall. Sure there are some really great players at smaller schools.

I think everybody is just calling you like they see you. Come with some facts that actually make sense and people will listen.

So what's the magic number of fans Depaul needed to win that game? I just want to know so that way if we ever play them again, I can tip UNC so they know to only let a certain amount of Depaul fans into the game.
