Panthers and Falcons have done the same thing over the last couple of years. When the Panthers are down, the Falcons make the playoffs, and vice versa. It's the Falcons year to make the Playoffs and us to be down. Happens all the time :banginghe

Kind of weird to have arthroscopic surgery on both knees this late in the preseason. I'm sure it's happened before, but I can't recall an example. Doing both knees sort of suggests that he's breaking down, although that would be odd for someone his age.

I think Sirius NFL was saying Patrick Kerney was having his elbow scoped this week, too.

no idea at all why most players wait so late to get things done. Hartwig and the hernia surgery, for instance. There have been more this year, and a famous example for us would be Beuerlein waiting till July to get his throwing arm worked on after having surgery on 3 other things in February. He didn't play in the first few games of preseason and supposedly injured the arm, playing through it but with less arm strength, all of 2000.

scoping this late for a past knee injury would mean a lot of loose bodies found after a few days' worth of camp work. But since he had an achilles' injury, and since it's both knees, it makes no sense at all.
