    ESP has the first "rock" thing[88 by Ron Carter] I liked since Little Richard, Fats Domino and Jerry Lee Lewis. :)

    I really dig Herbie. Not so much the other sidemen of that time.
    Yeah, the fusion thing did kinda kick off some really cool music. But in the context of jazz it just turned me off. Maybe if I don't approach it as jazz, I can get down with it better.
