Jonathan Alexander's take is that no quarterback who can start in the NFL would voluntarily come to Carolina, and I think that's probably right. I think that includes Winston and Mariota. So this leaves you with QBs that don't have no trade clause protection - which limits you to Garoppolo or Mayfield (who the Browns probably won't trade, because they have no real reason to) - or a draft pick.


The wildcard I'm hearing now is Minshew, but Philadelphia won't move him unless they're sold on Hurts, which they aren't, so that's probably just sportswriter fodder.

 

If you throw the right package at any QB, they will come here. If a QB doesn't believe that he's the answer to our issues, then I don't want him on our team. Even if he's wrong, I want him to have that level of confidence.

The panthers priority OL signing last offseason was a guy that every other team considered a backup. Then they refused to try a rookie with potential at left tackle cause of a fucking measurement.

Now they're keeping the coach that made it happen for an all but declared lame duck season.

Any agent that doesn't counsel their client about that, no matter how confident they are about turning it around is committing malpractice.

 

Based on what? Tepper has owned the team for nearly half a decade and his best catch has been Teddy Bridgewater.
