I thought that was a bit heavy to cover, myself. I cringed at your post. We may be pretty conservtive going into the Florida game.

My only play was the Florida game, and I feel decent about them with 14 points.

State needs OL and DL depth. I hope to hell they're awake now, 'cause OSU's gonna ram it down their throats next week.

    Well.....

I would say it was a combination of both underestimating Memphis a bit and expecting Miss to play better in their second game. I know the Memphis QB hasn't quite lived up to his hype (til now) and I never expected him to look as good as he did. I am also still wondering what might've happened if that fucking kid hadn't dropped that pass at the 3 yard line and Ole Miss goes up 10. That hurt badly and I went through the roof here at the house. The poor cat took off running from a dead sleep and everything.

But - bottom line - a loss means it was a shitty pick. So that is what I get for taking a road favorite in the first two weeks of September. I thought it was too good to be true and I guess it was. :)

You may live to regret that bet, kshead. We haven't been able to run, they got 8 men up. And Marshall looks to have a QB, again. Our D better wake up and start rushing.

Casey started out rough, off on the deep throws, but had a couple of drops. But Banks made him look good on the touchdown throw.

    7-7.

Damn Piper. I know. I am NOT a happy camper today so far. Everything I have touched turned to lead instead of gold.

The thing that is surprising me is that I really did think y'all would just run Marshall over. I know they can score, but usually they struggle against the run.

Clarett or not, OSU is going to run all over NCSU. That and OSU has a little better defence than does Wake

Line is playing like they believed their hype. Casey was sacked twice last drive and had no shot escaping whatsoever. Once against a three man line.

We look flat and are lucky to be tied.

I cannot remember a Saturday in which I have seen SO many flat teams. I would say maybe it's just a new year, but it seems more than that. Did everyone spend the summer reading their press clippings?

Our D-line may not be that good, a lot of young players. So it looks like we are going to blitz our linebackers, who are legitmately good. Risky business though.

Casey threw a terrible pass, go picked, but the D picked him up and he reedemed himself with his best pass since the Citrus Bowl vs Michigan.

I just hope Fulmer is ripping them a new one during halftime. I need them to cover 20. That TD pass (yup, it was nice) right before the half helped.
