even though it was #3 vs. #4 every announcer and analyst had UNC as either the best team or the second best team in the nation behind Illinois. Illinois absolutely crushed Wake. #4 teams don't lose by double digits no matter where they play or who they play against. Paul owned Felton the whole game, and showed who the best guard in the conference was, and Eric Williams did a great job down low with Sean May. Just glad UNC lost and happy to see them fall in the rankings. Did OK State lose to Texas? If so UNC is back in the top 5. 3 out of top 5 are acc which isn't bad at all

They do when the other team hits 32 out of 32 free throws.

So this is the first time a #4 ranked team has lost to a higher ranked team by double digits? Man, you are letting your hatred cloud your judgement.

Illinois is tough, but no team is dominant this year, much like last year.

Bullshit - you can go back through almost any ACC season in the 80s or 90s and see where a Top 5 UNC would get blown out by Wake or dook and UNC would both be ranked in the Top 5 and UNC would crush dook by 20+. Of course next time they play dook would win. When two really good teams play you often see one team lose big. Wake getting crushed by Illinois is a case in point.

If you really want to whine - go complain about Georgia Tech losing back to back games - one a blow out to UNC and another a bad loss to State who was reeling. Tech only dropped 4 spots from 8 to 12. Of course you aren't an ABGT fan so you wouldn't notice.

I just think it's dumb that right now if Wake wins during the week, and UNC wins this weekend, then Wake will be ranked farther down for having lost to the best team in the nation and FSU and UNC will be ranked higher even though they just received a pretty good beating from Wake a week earlier and a loss to Santa Clara. Tech at least has an excuse. Their best player is out (arguably best player with Jack) and I was surprised that they didn't drop to around the 20-25 range, but I think that UNC should have at least dropped to behind Syracuse.
