A friend of mine says that Wake played better than they are and Carolina played worse than they are. Is that accurate, in anyone's opinion?

Something like that, UNC I think was overconfident and not ready mentally to play the game. UNC didn't shoot the ball well, not that Wake did, but Wake was more aggressive, slashing and such, getting fouls called and of course made all their FTs.

It's surprising they wouldn't be ready. They had to know they were playing their toughest game so far. I saw where McCants and Felton(?) had 4 fouls each at the half? Not good.

Play seemed sloppy after UNC jumped out 13-8, bad shots/decisions.

    Felton ended with 3 fouls.

McCants, Noel and M. Williams were the main ones with foul trouble or fouling out.

Just like every UNC game I've seen this year they have some careless turnovers. But turnovers this game cost them as they couldn't make enough defensive stances to come back. I had to wonder about some of those fouls they called on McCants though. The critical killer was absolutely Chris Paul. That kid can do so many things when he has the basketball and his change of direction at full speed is unbelieveable. I don't know how many times I was saying cut the penetration off and let someone else kill you. 32-32 from the line don't hurt either.

I think McCants played most or all of the 2nd half with 4 fouls. 32 of 32 from the free throw line by Wake is just sick. Great game.

There were a few bad calls or no calls, but that's not what lost the game.
