Wake / Longwood

It's gonna be fugly!

 

Didn't see the game, but I have to admire Longwood; they are/were a DII (I think) and are working on their D-I eligability and having to play a full D-I schedule....my daughter got a look from them and so I learned about what they are going through....it's been cool to see their name across the bottom of ESPN scores even though they have gotten the crap beat out of them by alot of D-I schools this year; still got to hand it to the kids that are going through the "growing pains" with the school.

 

so why did Wake put them on their non conference schedule? especially in the middle of the season. I can see UCONN like UNC, or Kentucky, but Longwood? wtf?

 

??...dont know, maybe they needed the rest....cant be good to have a game like this so deep, maybe earlier.....

 

What's funny is Illinois beat up on a conference team as badly as WFU beat up on one of the worst teams in D1. Guess that's further proof that Illinois would suck in the ACC?

 

You can't argue with stupidity like this. Just laugh, shake your head, and feel sorry for the "special" guy that posts it.

 

Or... how about Illinois beating up on an ACC leader like they did?

Illinois is far and away the best team in the country, but the Big Ten as a whole sucks this year. The ACC crushed them in the ACC-Big Ten challenge, and was far and away the best conference. THe only one that could rival them is the Big East. Conference USA is a decent conference and I think having another team from North Carolina in the top 25 like Charlotte is only a good thing, but USA can't hold a candle to the ACC this year.

They beat Northwestern worse last night. Guess that means Longwood would be the 7th best team in the Big 10?
