That was more a product of the Jets offense turning to shit than anything on Jenkins part.

Raji is the only guy I consider first round worthy and he likely to go much higher than any pick we get for Peppers. Brace is an interesting consideration for later though.

Raji is rated to go pretty high in most of the mocks I have seen, usually top ten or top fifteen. You are probably right that we will not get a pick that high for Pep.

Brace is interesting because of his size. There are some other good DT prospects I have been reading about that we can get outside the first round. Fili Moala and Vance Walker are guys we might consider. In any event we need to add a DT early in our draft unless we get one before then in free agency or via trade.

Jenkins wasn't a guy we wanted to lose. We had valid reasons to push him out and it wasn't on the field.
I do think it's telling, after the fact, that they say he played at 400. No one should be playing at 400, much less with an injury history. I guess that's an on-the-field thing. That he tailed off at the end of the year is indicative.

Anyway, otherwise we wouldn't have. I somewhat expect that we have a better DT situation to open the season than we do now. Ideally we'd have a new starter in here - maybe we would've made a play for Cole or Canty in a better cap situation as it stands now, but it's not something we've done in past years with more cap than this.

My guess is they're going to find a way to put almost all the resources possible into the DL. We had more to work with last year with the running game, but we do fix things when we get determined.

Not to swing off topic, but did Jenks' performance fade a little with the Jets as well? I thought I remembered someone saying it did.
