Vince Carter = Loser

Well, I don't want to defend Artest, because what he did was inexcusable. Never go into the stands. If a fan first goes out on the court then you have every right to defend yourself. Otherwise, go tell security to get up off their ass and have the offended fan arrested.


He should face a heavy, heavy fine and suspension. Something that sends a message. I'm thinking 20 games, a quarter season. Another 10 for the teammates who followed him.

Wallace should buy dinner for the guy who pulled him down from the scorers table. He was about to go after Artest when a teammate pulled him down by the jersey and he thought better.

Still, I saw sucker punches, beer cups, and chairs being thrown by drunk fans. I think at any sporting event if you do something like that they should just throw you in the clink.

I am not defending Artest for going up into teh stands, and certainly not for hitting the wrong guy, but the whole thing is that the Palace staf was not containing the crowd. Hell, even after Artest was heading into the stands, you could not see an usher or a cop trying to get in between Artest and teh fans he was going after.

The funniest part for me, was the guy with the white hat on that was first restraining Artest in the stands like a peacemaker......then when things started settling down and Artest stops going after the wrong guy, the guy restraining him, starts punching him in the side of the head.

I just imagine him telling Artest, "Settle down man, it's not worth it", and then Artest thinks, "yeah you're right, what am I doing up here?" He relaxes a little and the guy starts jacking him.

I think that was the guy who threw the beer that set it off.

Artest isn't supposed to go in the stands but it's okay for Tubby 1 and Tubby 2 to go out on the court?

 

didn't you see stephen jackson and jermaine o'neal go into the stands randomly attacking people? i'm sorry, but that is ridiculous. and for someone to cold-clock someone else while they aren't looking is the most pussy thing anyone could do. i'd fire jermaine o'neal for being a cheap-fighting bitch. at the same time, i don't feel remorse for any of the fans. but I do feel that being pro-athletes during a game, you have a certain decorum you have to meet. thats what you're paid gazillions of dollars for, being a professional..

the fat fuck was the one on the court. but, stephen jackson and o'neal both went into the stands and started attacking fans, along with artest. i agree, if a fan gets on the court then anything goes- but it was totally pussy for o'neal to do that.

 

the thug mentality of the NBA is exactly why i haven't watched a game in over 5yrs.
