I agree, it sucked. The babes were hot but they do not get topless. The plot was terrible and the acting was not great either. Dracula had me laughing several times when it was not supposed to be funny.

I saw it Saturday and enjoyed it. It's a fun summer movie. Sure it has it's silly moments but overall I walked away happy. If you are expecting a top notch Spiderman like movie with great acting and surperb special effects, don't go see it, but if you want to escape from reality for a fun summer movie, then go see it.

I went to Van Helsing tonight with a couple of friends to escape American IdHELL. We all decided that we should have stayed home to suffer through all the tripe just to see the final 10 minutes of a NC girl conquering the entire world (or so it would seem). I rented Underworld a few days ago and thought it had potential but was crap overall. Van Helsing started off decent enough but the transmission dropped out of that clunker somewhere during the goofy James Bond rip-off scene. We were looking at each other and surpressing laughter that was not intended all through the “film”. Even the frantic CGI looked like shite in almost every instance. They must have rushed together much of it because it looked muddied and overly speed up to try and hide what a rush job it was. Whoever did the CGI and the God-awful script must have phoned it in during a week off from their real jobs. The guy playing Dracula sucked, and not around the neck and shoulder area. Huge Jackman also had the breath of a thousand penises in this one, and that is a LOT of suckin’ folks. The corset clad Beckinsale was relatively hot and burned through her cardboard acting job at times. I thought her accent (though not very good) was sexy, but she could play a tard and still smoke up the screen. Unless you are a really really bored teenager with absolutely nothing else to do don’t waste your money.

The scene where the two remaining brides are distraught over the death of the third and talking to Dracula is hillarious. He says in his cheesy accent "I will get another wife" they say "Hava you no heyart?" he says "Noh I hava no heyart". I was the only one in the theater laughing but I thought it was cheesy and reminiscent of Count Chocula.
