    alan moore apparently didn't want his name associated with it, so i'm left a little hesitant. but then, i never read the comic so i guess it's not really an issue.

    it does look good, tho.

    It was less action than I expected, but I thought overall it was good. Message was a little overdriven and simplistic, but the acting was surprisingly good for this type of movie. I too had not read the graphic novels on this one, so I am not sure how off it was from the original. Frankly, I didn't have super high expectations, so mine were pleasantly exceeded. I don't think Hugo Weaving gets enough credit for his ability as an actor (though I must admit that in this one, he appears in person for only a few scenes and his voice is all of the acting he gets to do). It's worth seeing at least once.

    i'm hoping this makes enough money for somebody to do the watchmen. an hbo 12-part miniseries would be so fucking amazing.
